Beauty Circus (2022)

Beauty Circus is a Bangladeshi film starring Jaya Ahsan , Ferdous , ABM Sumon , Taukir Ahmed and others. After the release of the teaser of the film, huge expectations were created among the audience. The film released in theaters on September 23, 2022.

The film will highlight the struggles of women in the circus. In the film, Jaya Ahsan performs amazing acrobatics—with such feats as walking over a tightrope. Beauty ( Jaya ) is the owner and main female magician of the circus . The charisma and form of his magic show is maddened by three influential people in the area. They entered the competition to own the beauty. At one point, the entire beauty circus was threatened. But the wily beauty is not one to give up. He finally overcomes the deep crisis by the force of intellect. After a long preparation and financial crisis, the production of the film Beauty Circus was finally started by its director Mahmud Didar. The shooting of Beauty Circus movie started from February 6, 2017. With the participation of about 2000 villagers with the participation of 200 construction partners, the builder did the filming. For this, the builder built a huge circus pandal and organized a village fair. Although Beauty Circus was a government funded film, the director Mahmud Didar had to wait for a long time to start the film due to financial constraints. Later, Impress Telefilm agreed to produce the film and the director began directing it.

Sadly, the terrible events of her childhood keep Beauty constantly questioning herself. The circus and the Liberation War of Bangladesh are deeply tied together in the story of the film “Beauty Circus”. Added to the mix, is religious extremism.

In the film, we can see a younger version of Beauty witnessing her parents being killed. The reason behind their murders, is that her father refused to join the Razakars during the Liberation War. Her father had been the original head of The Bengal Circus, and after coming of age, Beauty would take on her father’s role. She is a ‘Beauty’ in every sense of the word, throughout the film. She walked across the tight rope and learned about the history of circuses, ingraining all of these elements into her character. How many actors and actresses in this industry put this level of concentration and investment into one of their characters? ABM Sumon, who plays the role of Jaya Ahsan’s lover, shines in the role of ‘Ronglal’ in the film. His spontaneous performances opposite the likes of Jaya Ahsan caught the eye of the viewers.
